      <title>Jazzissm Vol. 39</title>
      <description>&lt;img src="http://hardjazz.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1095830/0x0_1195687.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Fearless!

Have you ever watched an infant child attempt to rollover, sit up or take those first awkward steps to advance from a crawl to a walk?

Many a parent watched in awe of their prodigy as he or she boldly went about the task of "moving on up". Look closer at the childs determination, this is not just instinct or preprogrammed human development at work here, you are witnessing fearlessness.

How is this small, frail infant capable of such fearless acts, defying gravity, ...and soon defying parental pleas to stop running? Why such a lack of fear? Why? Because they have not yet been taught it.

My mother had a cautious refrain she would use anytime she caught one of her children in the act of doing something she thought we ought not...she would say..."stop, you'll poke your eye out!" Why she chose the eyeball I don't know but it always made me think twice and become a little more fearful about what I was up to than I was before she added the gruesome imagery. In her remarks...she passed on the fear factor.

In many countless ways we have all been taught the fear factor by others as well as by personal experience. However lessening fear is vital to taking on new challenges and breaking old habits, we need not so much courage to accomplish these things, as we do amnesia. Forget your fears, forget what you've been taught, forget the mistakes of the past or the opinions of others and act out of the joy of sheer self interest. That's what babies do, so act like that infant who wants to walk but has no clue how or that it should be afraid of falling....babies fall and get right back up.

If you are facing a new challenge and fear rises, remember you were once that infant...you can be fearless.... face the challenge with a smile and focus on the joy of doing! Now, if you fall or fail, just giggle...drool...and when your ready...crawl over to the edge of the table and try again. In this way you can again become fearless!

Jazzism Vol. 39 has some great musical selection for you to enjoy....no need to fear!

                With Joy,

Think about all the good in you currently have in your life. Think about all the good you've ever experienced in your life. Now....speak on it! The bible says...from the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.

Makes you wonder why so many of us speak negatively about life, others and ourselves. I believe it is a lack of focus. Focus on the good and speak from there, from that place, from that source.

So, if you eat well, been treated well, been cared for, been touched gently, helped, protected, celebrated...EVER! You must speak well...ALWAYS!

The state of being edified or uplifted. The question I pose to the class is,... "can one be edified via music and if so will Jazz do the trick"?

Oh, I must say undoubtedly sir...why many has been the time I have found myself a bit run down...a tad less than and a wonderful riff from a saxophone sent my spirit upward. I believe a drum roll can jump start an exhausted heart, and a sultry voice can send one dreaming...ah yes indeed, Jazz has the stuff and will edify.

Well in that case, plant your ear lobes close to this most recent installment of Jazzism and get a musical education on the subject of edification.

Class dismissed!

In life, most times change just doesn't make cents...or sense. I've been through many of life's changes...the ups, the downs and the all arounds and the only thing I know for sure about change - is that it is constant.

It occurs to me that acceptance is the key. Change require we remain fluid...be like water. Water has the unique ability to take on the shape of vessel that contains it.

You put water in a glass - it becomes the glass, you put water in a pail - it becomes the pail, the circumstances change but the water remains the same. It does so by accepting, not resisting the place it is in.

"Be like water" - do this and "change" becomes just another one of those things you "flow" through.

Let the music in Jazzism Volume 30 "flow" through you and everything will be all right!

Enjoy,

Jazz is alive.... so pass on the vibe, spread the love, riff on this good feeling, with it you can dance on the floor or the ceiling.

Jazz is alive....it has within its core, happy moments...and sad ones too...it reaches the depths of musical expression....anyone with heart can feel the connection.

Jazz is alive...born in America...it has growed up and traveled some... it has been exposed to all cultures and vibes and is "loved madly"... worldwide.

Jazz is alive... as old as the hills and as young as tommorow, it has paid many dues and has no need to borrow.

      <itunes:summary>Jazz is alive!

For you Jazz is you and jazz is me....Jazz is hip and Jazz is free....Jazz is alive as you now see.

Enjoy,

Katzpheno
